We are a unique parish in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, PA. In addition to permanent parishioners living in University City and its environs, our worship community includes faculty, staff, and students from the surrounding universities and colleges (University of Pennsylvania, Drexel University, and the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia), as well as visitors from the neighboring hospitals (Presbyterian Medical Center, Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, and Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania).
We foster Christian fellowship in our diverse community and embrace and nurture the varied gifts of our members. Aware that God is the center of our lives, we gather together in worship and celebration of the sacraments. Desiring to know God more fully in heart, mind, and soul, we devote ourselves to spiritual development, study of the Catholic faith, and inter-religious dialogue. Opening ourselves to our neighbors, we respond with enthusiasm to the call to feed the poor, visit the sick, and comfort the lonely.
All that we do, all that we profess, all that we are, is directed towards living the Gospel of our Lord -- for the love of Christ impels us.
