  St. Agatha-St. James is a Roman Catholic Church located in the University City section of Philadelphia. Because of our unique location, we sponsor a wide range of ministries to the three university campuses and four area hospitals, as well as supporting various community and social outreach programs. In addition to our resident parishioners and our student membership, we are fortunate to have a growing number of "Friends of St. Agatha-St. James" who connect with us in various ways and are a vital part of our parish family. Our friends may join with us for Sunday worship or they may minister to others as representatives of our parish, especially as pastoral visitors and Eucharistic ministers to the various hospitals. Some of our friends are former parishioners and students who remain participative in our parish worship because they value the experience we provide. Some have an endearing relationship with us because they have celebrated a special sacramental moment in their lives here or they were touched by our chaplaincy outreach and continue to support our mission. There are many others who have moved on geographically but remain in partnership with us by their prayer and financial support of our work.

We could not be who we are without our friends nor, as the song says, could we get by without the help of our friends. Please consider honoring us and blessing us by becoming a friend.
